My last journal before my subscription runs out - cant decide if I'm going to re-new (although, I'd trade a picture for a sub if anyone's interested).

Outside our house (I live in a rural-ish area) they've been drilling a water well. Exciting, right? Well, it gets 'better' when you factor in the bright work-lights (looks like enough to light a football field) and the brain-grinding sound (that also sounds like a dying animal - perfect for all us animal owners to wake up to at 3 in the morning!)!
So, long story short, after a week of the craziness, they finally agreed (after many, many complaints and phone calls) to move us to a hotel. It was okay, but would have been better if I wasn't in the middle of a billion projects that I had to then move to the hotel and attempt to do with whatever I had on hand. (and I left my art history flashcards at home T-T) It did have a pool, though.

Des, I owe you a huge thanks for calling me and keeping me sane!

Anyway, I'm back, but took home a cold as a souvenir... yay... XD
But, I'm getting some good reading done. I just finished Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and I'm now about halfway through The Road.

Team 399, the Lancaster High School Robotics Team (the Eagles), made it to Atlanta both on their win in Denver and their achievement in winning the Engineering Inspiration Award! They competed in Atlanta on the Curie field (named after Marie Curie), and made it to the finals of that field.
This is the farthest the team has ever made it! You are all amazing! We are so proud!
