Outside our house (I live in a rural-ish area) they've been drilling a water well. Exciting, right? Well, it gets 'better' when you factor in the bright work-lights (looks like enough to light a football field) and the brain-grinding sound (that also sounds like a dying animal - perfect for all us animal owners to wake up to at 3 in the morning!)!
So, long story short, after a week of the craziness, they finally agreed (after many, many complaints and phone calls) to move us to a hotel. It was okay, but would have been better if I wasn't in the middle of a billion projects that I had to then move to the hotel and attempt to do with whatever I had on hand. (and I left my art history flashcards at home T-T) It did have a pool, though.

Des, I owe you a huge thanks for calling me and keeping me sane!

Anyway, I'm back, but took home a cold as a souvenir... yay... XD
But, I'm getting some good reading done. I just finished Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and I'm now about halfway through The Road.
